Where would you like to visit now?



Outlook

Step 1

Open Outlook. Click on the Tools pull-down menu, move your cursor down to Rules Wizard and click on it.

Click on the New button in the Rules Wizard window.

Click on "Check messages when they arrive."

Notice that this statement appears in the Rule description panel as shown.

Click on the Next button.

Click on the box next to "with specific words in the subject" as shown.

Then click on the highlighted portion, "specific words," in the lower Rule description panel.

Step 5

Type {SPAM?} into the Add new: panel as shown and then click on the Add button.

Step 6

Notice that {SPAM?} is highlighted in the Rule description panel.

Click on the Next button.

Now you can either move e-mail identified as spam to another mailbox (Steps 7 though 15) or just delete it (Steps 16 through 19).

 

Step 7

Click on the box next to "move it to the specified folder," as shown.

Notice that the statement appears in the Rule description panel.

Step 8

Click on Personal Folders, so it becomes highlighted.

Click on the New... button.

Step 9

Type SPAM? into the Name: panel as shown.

Click on the OK button.

When the "Add shortcut to Outlook Bar" window appears, click on the No button.

Step 11

Notice that a new folder, called SPAM?, has been created.

Click on the OK button.

Notice that the "move it to the SPAM? folder" statement is now in the Rule description panel.

Click on the Next button.

Step 13

You are then presented with an option to make any exceptions to your new {SPAM?} rule.

We recommend you do not enter any exceptions at this time.

Click on the Next button.

Step 14

Make sure there is a check in the box next to "Turn on this rule." You can also click on the box next to "Run this rule now on messages already in Inbox," if you want.

Click on the Finish button.

Step 15

Congratulations! You now have an anti-spam rule configured in your Outlook.

Click on the OK button.

If you want to just delete all e-mail identified as possible spam, complete the steps below.

 

Step 16

(Continued from Step 6)

Click on the box next to "delete it," as shown.

Notice that "delete it" is now in the Rule description panel.

Click on the Next button.

Step 17
